Buzz for Ben

Ben got his 2nd official hair cut!! The first was around 2 months old when 1/2 his hair had fallen out and he looked 90 year old man. Ben wasn't sleeping so well and Larry was up with him in the middle of the night. So he took him into the bathroom and buzzed his hair. It looked ALOT better!! I was happy to stay out of it, because I don't think I could have let him do it.

So fast-forward to 9 months later and Ben is having the same problem. Too much hair on top and not enough on the sides. Daddy was more then happy to plop Ben in a high chair load him up with laffy-taffy and buzz away. As you can tell from the photos, Larry's got an extreme case of "Bed Head". It looks like he'll need a trip to the Barber too!

"Aw, Daddy do we have to?"

"Must stay focused on the delicious candy before they take it away."

"Daddy can I do your hair next?"

You gotta hold still, boy!

Shoes, shoes and more shoes

If you have babies with feet, then you'll need some shoes. And how about some cheap shoes at that. A great blog I read mentioned that Darling Shoes is having a super-de-duper sale...$1 and $2!!! Check it out!!

Deep Thoughts by Sydney & Emma

While driving in the car yesterday, out of the blue, Sydney and I have this conversation...
S:"Mom, do you know who I want to marry?"
M:"No, who?"
S:"George, because I love him."
M:"Oh, you love him."
S:"Yes, but he doesn't love me. He really, really loves Chanelle and Lindy the mostest."

I know she liked preschool, but I didn't know she liked it THAT much!

Lately Emma has been keeping her pull-ups dry at night, which I'm VERY, VERY excited for. Although she still has random accidents when she gets too lazy or has a case of the toots. (forgive my honesty) So I have been trying to reinforce all of the times when she does potty things...right. Thus today went like this...



E:"Mommy, mommy no pee pees in my undies."
M:"That's great!"
E:"Mommy, mommy come see my poops in the potty!"
M:"Sure. Wow Emma, that's...perfect."
E:"It's big mommy!"

I'm sure glad she's proud of its weight and size.

Present Overload

It is officially the end of the Christmas Holiday. Today is the 26th of December. Normally I would be out with the savviest of shoppers (mainly my Mom and Sister) and score some sweet deals on holiday cards and decorations for next year. For example, the cheapest sister known to mankind totally ripped off a store by finagling a 7ft. lighted christmas tree originally $400 for $60! (I'll spare you the illegal details, I wouldn't want her FBI husband to get in trouble, LOL!) However, I'm not in Arizona with them and the cold, wet weather outside is keeping me glued to my computer chair.

So lets break down the Christmas Morning Chaos! It felt like chaos because of the abundant amount of presents that surrounded our tree. We have such great parents that have always helped us provide for our kids over the past years of student income and with their helpful presents and our excitement to finally have a little income of our own...the kids reaped the rewards of WAY TOO many gifts!!

Larry and I really enjoy watching the kids give presents to each other. Here's Ben getting some trucks and a ball from his sisters.

That's right Sydney, Santa got you everything you wanted! He's smart like that!

Santa's Comin' To Town...

Before I headed off to bed I wanted to wish all of my dear family and friends a Merry Christmas. Even though we spent this holiday alone, we still found ways to entertain ourselves. Mine of course was taking pictures, Larry cooked and the kids...well every day is a holiday to them!

Happy Happenings In Our Home

We happened to capture some odd in's and out's that define the true basics of our little family.

O Christmas Tree

The lazy Roberts Family has finally got it together and put our Christmas tree up. We spent our FHE driving around looking at lights and then walking the isles of Home Depot Nursery to find the "perfect" tree. The kids were loving it and who wouldn't? Except for the cold, they could have done without that. Thankfully it didn't take long to find a great tree (especially since they had just been delivered that morning) at a great price!!
Although the best part was that Home Depot has rules that THEY must be the ones to cut the end off the tree, bag it and tie it down on your car. Well OK...you don't have to tell us twice!! The kids had a blast climbing around the open car with the heater blaring watching the workers go at it. Oh I love the smell of a real Christmas tree.

I Just Called To Say...I Love You

Benjamin's new obsession is phones. It's not surprising considering it's plastered to most adults ears 75% of the time, including mine. I've tried to out smart him by turning my cell phone off before I give it to him, but he's turned the tables on me by learning how to turn it back on by himself. What a little booger! He's definitely determined!!

Thankfully we have plenty of kid toy cell phones to distract him from the real deal. And believe me once he gets a phone he won't give it up easily. He's learn to squawk and cry when the girls try to take his beloved communication device. So if you get a call from me and all you here is deep breathing and babbling...its Ben.
