Look What The Cat Drug In

Usually when we unload from the car,
Keira likes to run over to the bikes
that are lined up in the garage
and give them all a test run.

So I just shut the garage door and
leave the door to the house open
for her to come in when she's done.

Today I found her pulling this
in behind her.
She seemed very pleased with her
accomplishment.

Keira thinks that Ben's new bike
is HER new bike too.

I have a feeling Ben won't be
having that...
AT ALL!!

Dutiful Daughters

I luv how my daughters take care of me. Especially now that I have a bun in the oven.

One night while Daddy was reading them their nightly book, I laid down on the end of their bed to listen. Within seconds they were up scratching my back, laying blankets on me and stroking my hair.

This morning after loading the kids in the car to drop Emma off at Preschool, I ran around to the driver-side of the car, only to find the door open. As I climbed in Emma says, "I opened your door for you because you have a baby in your tummy."

I'm one lucky mom.

Zip, Zilch, Nada

Just a little insight into my life...

I really don't feel like doing anything.

No motivation. No energy.

Technically I think we're just going through the motions this week.

Maybe a shower would help.

Honest To Gosh Truth

While prepping for dinner Larry and I were talking to Sydney. We were joking around back and forth, teasing, yada yada.

I said: "Sydney, who's stomach is bigger? Mine or Daddy's.
Sydney: "Daddy's".

That's right, darling. You will now get candy in your lunchbox.
Thank you very much.

No Big Deal

Desensitized.
That's what we are.

At first glance you may think I'm
beginning to repeat my blog posts,
but alas,

it really has snowed in Dallas...

AGAIN!

Spring Break

What a way to spend a week!!
We had a great time with my sister
and her kids.
Enjoying the outdoors,
going to parks,
eating picnics!!

Keira REALLY enjoyed the constant
attention at the park.
There was always someone there
to walk around with her,
catch her at the bottom of the slide
and push her on the swing.

Keira could go on the slide a million times
and never be tired of it.
Pure HAPPINESS!

She even wanted to take a turn catching
the big kids going down the slide.
Silly girl!

Mmmm...Eliza?
I can go WAY higher then this!

As I walked over to take this picture,
I said "smile".
And this is what a grumpy 3 year old
gives me.
Mr. Pout-Man

So Aunt Mimi gave him a dose of
tickles!

This group of crazies where all
over the place deep in imagination.

How to make Ben happy?
"Under-dogs" on the swing!

Keira met up with one of her friends.
Big squeezes for Mati.

Thanks for a great week,
Mauks!

If I Had A Wish

A wise woman once said:
(ok, I admit it...it was Kim)

"Everyone should have a 13 year old daughter!"

And I couldn't agree more!

Prepare To Be Jealous

Like spotting Superman in the sky when your falling
to your death...

...YEP!
that is what it's like when you spot your
sister pulling into your driveway.

Faced with a week of all the kids home for
spring break, 5+ months prego and
Daddy gone for 5 days.

It was a little more then I bargained for.

But with a breath of fresh air,
Kim and her 3 amazing kids filled our house
with fun, laughter and love!

The experienced mom that she is,
Kim brought arts and crafts to entertain the kids
for an afternoon.

And they were eating it ALL up!!

Decorating with stickers.

Cock-a-doodle-do

Many, many, MANY times a day I go outside.

Usually it's because I have a diaper to throw away.

I've decided chucking them on the porch
(for dad)
or putting them in the trash right away
is much better then dealing with a
diaper bin.

But that also means I usually have an
"escape artist"
that can bolt many, many, MANY
times a day.

Here's a quick peek at Keira
investigating what's going on outside.
This day it had started to sprinkle.
Which she really enjoyed.

OH and did I mention she's 1/2 rooster?

This is what we call...

BED HEAD!!

Vote On Facebook

GUESS WHAT!!

Larry and Ben's photo was selected to be in a little photo contest of my favorite photographer!!

It's on Facebook. And we can win a free photo shoot if all my FB friends comment.

But I'm sad to say...that currently we are losing. And believe me, losing isn't in my vocabulary.

So I am selfishly using my blog to promote our picture!!
(shhhh)

Now get a clickin' and put that mouse to good use. Become a fan of Ann Beck Photography and go to her spring contest to vote for this famous image!! You have until the end of today..THURSDAY!!!

A Little Hoarder

After doing laundry for our growing
family these last years,
I have learned some valuable lessons.

Like check for stains to pretreat them.
Remove all tissues.
Make sure diapers don't end up in the wash.
Chapsticks don't last long being washed and dried.

And now, the best lesson...
CHECK THE POCKETS!!

Here is Ben's pocket.

He almost got away with hoarding his stash.
A zipper pocket is a great way to load
as much outdoor memorabilia as possible.

But I was seriously surprised at just how
much this boy could shove into
1 pocket!

It took my 2 handfuls to get all this
"treasure" back outside.
Ben was very disappointed he
couldn't keep all of his
rocks, grass, weeds, and flowers!

(disclaimer: the white thing is not tampon, at first glance it can be deceiving, but nonetheless it is a previously washed crayon and tissue that have been welded together!)

Taco Bell Day 2010

In memory of Grandpa Thomas,
all of my cousins and extended family
take the time to go to his favorite restaurant
every year on his birthday.

Although I do have to admit,
I liked it more in the early 90's
then I do now.

Here we come...TACO BELL
(aka: toxic hell)

We are ready to chow down!

Everyone got a face full?

YEP!

Keira meticulously weighs her options of
either MILD or HOT.

I think she needs a glass of water!

Look MOM! No hands!

Daddy offers to help Ben stay focused on
EATING,
instead of goofing off.

Keira snubbed most of what we offered her,
except the root beer.

Sydney had no problems,
as long as there was no
"salad"
on her food.

I thought we had engorged ourselves sufficiently,
until I noticed dad back at the cash register...

Getting dessert!
Keira's 2nd item she opted to try.

Hooray for "twisties"!!

We love you, Grandpa Turtle.

Super Speller

Sydney brought home this piece of WONDERFUL news. A 100% on
her spelling test!! We have been trying really hard to be diligent to teach her and giving her all the help we could to get her to succeed. Earlier in the year everything seemed fine. But then the words got harder and less organized. I guess the ISD has made a list that all the grades (including 1st grade) have to abide by. Thankfully her teacher realized Sydney needed a little help but was confused because she could read so well and spelled phonetically. So she offered to give her a shortened list. You know...8-10 words instead of 18-20! Hello, did I mention they were 1st graders?
But either way, Syd is awesome and pulled out a 100% and we were extremely proud of her. So off to the ice cream shop we went!! GOOD JOB HOT STUFF!!

A Brother For Ben

FROGS, SNAILS, & PUPPY DOG TAILS for us over here!!

WHOOOP!!
Let's hear it for the boy!!!

The sonogrammy person asked if we wanted to find out, we all shouted YES. Then as soon as she laid the doo-hicky on my tummy she said well that wasn't hard. Baby boy was flashin' his extra large bits and pieces.

(Roberts are known for not being very...shy!!)

And then Larry says..."That's my boy!"

"bit's & pieces"

profile

spine

feet

Beside the relief of knowing it was a boy.
The best part was Ben's reaction.
He kept saying things like...
"That's my brother."
"I share my GUYS with him."
(boy toys like army guys, star wars guys, etc)
"Sleep in my bunk bed."

You could just tell he was already PROUD
to be the recipient of a little bro!!

Blue vs Pink

The "BIG REVEAL" is scheduled for tomorrow!!!

I can't contain my excitement about finally finding out.
I've been drowning down my thirst for boy or girl. Trying to not get too worked up about the unknown. But now that it's TOMORROW...I'm freakin' out!! Will Ben be telling everyone he's got 4 sisters or a buddy to share a room with?
