Library Time

Keira and Dan love to go to the library!  We read and read and read books.  Plus check out at least 25 to supply all the kids in the family with ample books to read.  They also enjoy attending the "reading time" provided by the library which includes singing, reading and crafts.

Boy Baby Shower

Rachel loves to host parties.

This time it was a baby shower for a boy.

She couldn't pass up making the mantel

into a showcase!

Happy Valentine's Day

To get in the spirit of the holiday we made valentine mailboxes for the kids to bring to school.  And then addressed our valentines to classmates and friends!

Big Boy

It was a monumental day at our house!

Even though at 2 and a half Dan still hasn't

attempted to climb out of his bed yet, 

we still felt it was time to upgrade him.

Assuming getting him comfortable with this

new bed and the new rules

would be good to acclimate him now

and then tackle potty training later.

So after 42 years and 15 children sleeping in it,

the crib is finally retiring and heading out

to the trash.

Dan's new toddler bed all ready to go.

Specially decorated and set up by

all his doting sisters.

Dan jumped in the bed for 2 milliseconds

and then sat up and said...

"Morning time.  Time for school!"

Please Mommy

Look at what the cat dragged in!

Oh wait!

We don't have a cat.

It's just Dan.

I think I sent Keira into the garage to get

something and Dan decided it was a 

good time to bring his bike in.

This picture just make smile.

He is so humble looking.

Just hoping I will be fooled by

his shameful, bowed head

and let him bring his dirty bike into

the house.

Yeah, I'm a sucker and totally let him do it.

Shhhh, don't tell my other kids.

No Kids Allowed Vacation

Where did mom and dad go?

San Antonio!

We found a sitter for the kids and left for 3 days!

It was bliss.

Larry had a CLE to attend so we took

advantage of the "reimbursement"

and ran off by ourselves!

We spent evenings walking the riverwalk

and eating some delicious food.

I spent many hours "resting"

in our fabulous hotel room.

It was under construction

which gave a great discount!

At lunch Rachel would wait in the lobby

for Larry to sneak off for 

some time together before he

had to be back.

Lunch Date

I took these 2 cute kids with me for a lunch date!

Guess where?

Gotta have a lunch box!

He smiles like Popeye sometimes!

We are at SCHOOL!

Ben comes in first.

He's happy to see us!

 

Emma was very pumped up too.

She had some friends that had passes

to eat together and they joined

us at the table too.

(when I say "friend" I mean

4 other boys!)
