During the summer we find

stopping for a quick treat

helps beat the heat.

4 Times A Week

For 2 hours, just about every morning,

we head to the pool to perfect things

like this! 

Keira and Dan love the stairs.

Our goal this summer is to get the wings off

of Keira and move them on to Dan.

We love meeting Alida Brown at the pool.

Longcreek Cemetery, Sunnyvale, Texas

For the past year I have discovered my inner

love for Family History or

Genealogy.

My father helped me get started and I took

off from there.  

Mainly I have been working diligently

on Larry's side of the family.

One of the websites the kids love searching with me

on is called Find A Grave.

People all over the world take photos of gravestones

to help others keep track of their family history.

I thought it would be good to "pay it forward" helping this

free website and offering to take pictures.

That is how we found ourselves walking through a local

cemetery one drizzly summer day searching for 5

different headstones.

The kids did great staying focused and helping out.

We had a talk about proper cemetery etiquette.

Like no sitting on headstones or removing the flowers.

We even talked about how people are buried with 

certain versions of their names (like nicknames)

and what a birth / death year are.

Surprisingly they want to do it again too!!

But we did end up with some really muddy shoes.

Daniel Turns 3 Years Old

Our happy, funny, silly Daniel is having his birthday!

He wanted spaghetti for dinner.

Sydney and Mom made homemade bread sticks too.

He was so happy to get many cards

and posters from his older siblings.

He treasured each one.

Such a poser!

He even got some special dinosaur

stickers and puzzles.

Ever since we started going to the museum

he talks about dinosaurs all the time.

Dan gets his very own pillow pet!

We are dying to help Dan eat his yummy cupcakes.

Dan eats his 2nd cupcake.

Sydney pretends to fly away.

Dan asks for his 3rd cupcake.

"Please MOM!"

I can't say no to that kid!!
